MEET THE FOUNDER
Kathy Dillard founded Clear Path Energy Advisors to do electricity brokerage the way she always believed it should be done — with total transparency and the client's best interest front and center, every time.
Kathy is an ICC-licensed Agent, Broker & Consultant with years of hands-on experience managing retail electricity procurement for a large portfolio of Illinois school districts. That work gave her a front-row seat to how confusing - and how costly — a bad contract can be for the public entities and businesses that can least afford it. She also offers full contract reviews, including community solar agreements, so clients understand their entire power picture — whether or not they ultimately sign with Clear Path.
After years managing procurement inside a larger brokerage, Kathy set out to build a practice that puts transparency at the center of everything — not as a slogan, but as the actual business model. Clear Path is independent, supplier-paid, and built on one simple idea: clients deserve a broker who's working for them, not for a supplier's bottom line.
"Our name reflects our approach: no jargon, no hidden
agendas - just a clear path to smarter energy decisions."

Brad Dillard
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
Brad focuses on building new relationships for Clear Path — reaching out to school districts, businesses, and organizations across Illinois to introduce what we do and open the door to that first conversation.
Before joining Clear Path, Brad spent his career at Southern Illinois University, retiring as Director of Facilities. There, he oversaw the university's power plant, maintenance division, key control, and grounds department — responsible for roughly 8 million square feet of campus buildings and grounds and a fleet of more than 500 vehicles. From electrical service to mowing, mail delivery to maintenance, Brad and his team kept SIU's infrastructure running. That hands-on, ground-level experience with how a large facility's power and operations actually work is exactly what he brings to conversations with facilities professionals and business owners today.
